About the Author

Hi there! My name is Ariane Astorga and I’m from the southern side of the Metro (Philippines of course!) I’m a freelance writer. I host events. I’m a voiceover talent for TV and radio commercials. I’m a singer. I’m an observer. I’m a storyteller.

Ariane Astorga - Events Host, Voiceover, Writer, Singer

I once took the safe path of the 9 to 5 grind but after two years, I decided to run away from it and never look back. :)

I love books, movies and TV shows. I LOVE TRAVELING. I thoroughly enjoy taking photos of interesting things. My favorite color is blue and I’m a sucker for sweets. I enjoy spending time with my friends but every once in a while, I go on my own personal adventures too.

Despite taking a swimming class back in college, to this day, I still don’t know how to swim properly. Don’t tell my professor that! I did however take a literature elective on all things Harry Potter and on that class I believe I did pretty well. Oh and I was a scholar back then at the old Green and White. Nerd? Just a little. :)

I love to doodle. I can beat you easily in videoke and I can cook a mean omelette. (Anything + egg = omelette right?)

My superpowers include never running out of stories to tell, always seeing the positive side of things and easily getting people to open up to me. (I think I’d make a good shrink!)

I believe in dreams. I believe in love. I believe in a Higher Power from above. I believe that thoughts can become things and that women should rule the world!

Hi there! I stumbled upon your blog while searching for how to compute premium contributions for sole proprietors. Your PhilHealth post was indeed helpful. Anyway, I just would like to commend you for jumping on to the be-your-own-boss bandwagon! It’s not an easy decision and the Philippines badly needs people like you! I hope you enjoy your freedom to the fullest :) From your fellow Green and White Archer, Chris :)

Hi Chris, I’m glad that my post was able to help you out. Thank you for the nice comment! That is true what you said, it wasn’t an easy decision back then, but yeah, it was one of my best decisions ever. :) Animo!

Mabuhay! Welcome back to the Philippines! … ‘m not sure if there’s a road, but what we did was traverse the mountain itself to get to Nassugbu on the other side. Hehe :D
